Nuance is Showcasing a More Human Conversation with Technology at Mobile World Congress 2015
Nuance Empowers the World’s Leading Manufacturers, Carriers and Developers to Create Simple Yet Compelling Interactions with Mobile Devices, Cars and the Connected Home
BARCELONA, Spain and BURLINGTON, Mass. – March 3, 2015 – Nuance Communications, Inc. will be demonstrating how its voice and text input innovations make it possible for people to engage and experience mobile devices, connected cars, and connected “things” at the 2015 Mobile World Congress (MWC). Through voice, natural language, gesture, and artificial intelligence, Nuance gives the world’s leading manufacturers, carriers, and developers the ability to create, design and bring to market a more intelligent user experience.
Virtual Assistants for the Connected Lifestyle
Nuance will display an array of devices, apps and consumer electronics that demonstrate intuitive engagement through conversational and intelligent virtual assistant capabilities, all designed for the next generation of wearables, cars, the connected home and the Internet of Things – including lighting and thermostat control. Nuance will also be offering its vision for voice as part of consumer health experiences for wearable devices.
Nuance is also showcasing its collaboration with ZTE to design intelligent voice experiences, as demonstrated on ZTE’s Star 2 smartphone and Car Mode application. Nuance and ZTE share a vision for voice as part of the next generation of mobile devices as founding members of the Smart Voice Alliance.
A More Intuitive, Intelligent Keyboard
Nuance will also be highlighting its innovative Swype keyboard, which lets people quickly and easily glide their finger from one letter to the next, with predicted words and phrases appearing as they go. Nuance announced its latest deployment, which will see Acer ship Swype across its Android smartphone portfolio available in Europe, Asia, and Central and South America.
Swype is available for download for Android devices from Google Play, and is also available on iOS 8 devices, recently updated with predictive emoji input and now supporting over 20 languages.
Convenient Messaging Options for Carriers and Consumers
Following the recent announcement that the first-ever cloud-based voice messaging system is being delivered to Vietnam, Nuance will demonstrate its voicemail-to-text solutions that allow the world’s leading carriers to bring more convenient and actionable messaging opportunities, and ultimately greater service, to their customers.
Giving the Connected Car a More Personal Connection
Nuance will demonstrate how it is making the connected car experience more mobile and personalized for automakers and consumers through recently-announced voice biometrics capabilities, the Dragon Drive Mobile application, and the Dragon Drive Daily Update virtual assistant service, as part of its expanded Dragon Drive connected car platform.
